SOVVY is a new media company of the people, by the people, for the people. It will provide We the People with our own digital “freedom & prosperity platform” that will serve as a 21st Century Town Hall we can all use to exercise our supreme power and authority in society. Key words defined:

• sovvy: savvy about our sovereignty.
• savvy: practical knowledge, understanding, and ability; shrewdness or intelligence; common sense; experienced and well-informed, especially in practical matters.
• sovereignty: supreme power and authority in society; controlling influence; freedom from external control.

Sovvy is designed to be the free press that Thomas Jefferson deemed “inestimable” in value because:

This formidable censor of the public functionaries… produces reform peaceably, which must otherwise be done by revolution. It is also the best instrument for enlightening the mind of man and improving him as a rational, moral, and social being.

GOAL

A flourishing society based upon the universal values and principles of human freedom, where our unalienable rights have been secured and individuals are empowered and lifted UP to the ultimate in freedom and independence and the highest levels of peace and prosperity.

PURPOSE

To serve and empower the people to:

1. Be the sovereigns we are;
2. Engage each other cooperatively and constructively with communication and education that builds mutual awareness, respect, trust, and reliance;
3. Take mass actions to participate in public policy making and produce government reforms that protect Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

PLANS

For the first time in history, We the People will benefit from the continuous and ongoing professional services of a dedicated staff working exclusively for them. When rights and freedoms are threatened, Sovvy will:

1. Draft and publish Situation Reports that point to the relevant Rights (as already agreed upon in the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights) and Constitutions that guarantee them, and detail specific situations of clear and present dangers, threats, and/or infringements of them;
2. Host Town Meetings (of, by, and for the people) and produce Public Service Announcements and Media Properties to communicate these specific situations to We the People;
3. Draft and circulate Instructions to Governments to take specific public policy actions to protect and secure these Rights and Freedoms, which We the People can vote on; and
4. Produce media-driven Reform Campaigns that empower the people and advocacy coalitions to effectively engage and persuade governments to implement the specific policy actions We the People instruct them to take.
